Article management: video tutorials for beginners

For beginners, we have created short video tutorials for all modules of the gFM-Business ERP software. Each video explains all the components of the module and provides tips on how to use them.

Video tutorial for the [Articles - Article master] module

In item management, you save all products that you can insert as items in the billing module. Use service items in time recording and text items for headings in a document.

With the gear wheel button in the [Prices and calculation] open the calculation, which you can define in the item category settings. Also define price groups in the settings under [Preferences - Items].

In the lower area, the existing Stock of the item is displayed at all storage locations. Here you can also create a Minimum stock and define whether the stock of the item should be posted from documents.

In the right column you can find further Master data for the article such as the product type, an article image, EAN code and other information about the article.

In the register [Features] you can define product properties that can also be price-relevant. The same price-relevant properties of several items in a document behave in the same way as a single item with a scale price in the case of scale prices.

The register [Fields] contains freely definable fields, the [Online store] tab allows you to maintain additional data for online stores, and the [Pictures] further product images can be saved.

The registers [Purchase] and [Sale] contain corresponding statistics based on orders and invoices.

Video tutorial for the [Articles - Stock] module

Use this screen to manage all Stock levels of the article called up. In the top list, each line corresponds to a storage location, which can exist once per item. Change a stock level manually by simply entering a new stock level in the Stock click, change the value and enter the reason for the change in the following dialog. The list below shows all currently active Reservations from orders.

The register [Inventory record] shows a list of all stock postings for the selected item. In the top tab line, select the desired storage location to display the log of the respective storage location.

In the register [Batch postings] you will find a list of all batches to which this article has been assigned.

Video tutorial for the [Articles - Suppliers] module

In this module you can Any number of suppliers for the article called up. In each supplier you can change the Purchase price and, if required, a Price scale in three stages. If you add the item to an order in the "Orders" billing module, the prices entered here for the item are automatically taken into account.

Video tutorial for the [Articles - Article attributes] module

You can use item attributes to add any desired Product variants add. These are based on the Product options and Option valuesthat you have previously defined under [Settings - Preferences - Articles].

Each product variant can be a More or less weight and a Surcharge or Discount included. You can select item attributes when editing or adding new line items in the invoice. Price increases or decreases and weights are automatically taken into account.

Video tutorial for the [Articles - Parts lists] module

In the module [Parts lists] you can add as many articles as you like to a main Assign sub-items and use as a parts list. If the main article is inserted in a document, the parts list articles are automatically booked out in addition without appearing on the document.

Combination article work in a similar way to parts lists, with the difference that they are also listed as items on a document.

Accessories are for information purposes only and have no effect on the invoice.

In the register [Included] you will find a list of all main articles that contain the called article as a parts list article.

Video tutorial for the [Articles - Events] module

This module contains the Event log of the article called up. Changes to the data record or field changes are saved in the event log so that they can be traced more easily at a later date.

If the list has a lot of entries after some time, it can be deleted with the Search field in the top right corner can be searched and filtered.
