I was recently asked why, when manually changing the stock under [Article > Article stock] a dialog appears in which you have to enter a text. There is a simple reason for this: like any other stock change, a manual change to the stock level is recorded in the stock log. The dialog therefore offers the option of entering a note in the log explaining why the stock level was changed. This can also be used for stocktaking, for example, so that the log later shows how many products were counted during a stocktake.
