Moin Moin,
in the settings can be changed in the [Settings] the option [Remove text styles] Activate. This function automatically removes all text styles when a text is pasted into a FileMaker field via the clipboard. The background to this is that FileMaker always retains all text formatting with the standard "Paste" function, but this is usually not desired for line items, for example.
The disadvantage of this function is that all text styles are then always removed, which is sometimes not necessarily desired, e.g. when inserting formatted Word documents into the correspondence module.
There are two alternatives to bypass this function and leave it switched off:
- You can change the text using the menu bar function [Edit > Paste text only] insert
- You can paste the text as usual, and immediately after pasting [cmd/strg - z] for "Undo". After the first "Undo", FileMaker only removes the text formatting; the inserted text is only removed when you press "Undo" again.
Greetings from Kirchhatten
