Reading XML in FileMaker with BaseElements and XPath

Moin,

Today we had the requirement to enter a delivered XML file for a customer as orders in gFM-Business. XML can be a bit more complex if you follow XSLT etc. strictly. But with the BaseElements plugin, which is used by the gFM-Business ERP software anyway, it is easier. This plugin contains support for the xPath function, with which you can simply read XML files and save the data in variables or fields.

In the FileMaker Magazine forum you can find a contributionwhich also contains a sample file for FileMaker. The sample file also shows how to read nested data arrays from the XML file.

In the Documentation of the BE_XPath function of the BaseElements plugin, all possible parameters are listed.
