I just came across an interesting webinar on YouTube by Michael Valentin of the former FileMaker GmbH. Even though the video is a bit older, Mr. Valentin shows in this video in very simple steps how to create a FileMaker database from any Excel spreadsheet, which then already contains the data of the Excel spreadsheet. He also shows many simple steps on how to customize and extend the newly created FileMaker database according to your own requirements.
