Moin Moin,
It often happens that when importing addresses, customer master data should also be imported, e.g. the URL that is saved in the customer master in gFM-Business, or other fields that should also be saved in free fields of the customer master, for example.
gFM Business contains the "Import data" function in the "Customers" CRM module, which can be used to import address data. Please note that the import of the data table into the table [Addresses] and not in the table [Customers]. With a trick, however, data can still be imported into the customer table:
- When importing, assign all fields that are to be imported to the customer master to a free field in the address table
- Write down which field you have assigned to which free field
- Carry out the data import, the fields are imported into the corresponding free fields of the address table
- After the import, switch to the first (empty) field in the customer master to which the data should actually be imported
- Place the cursor in the field and select [Records > Replace field content] from the menu bar
- Write in the formula editor e.g. Addresses::Free field_10 for the tenth free field from the address table and click on [Replace]
- Repeat this process for all fields that you want to transfer from the address table to the customer table
- You can then delete the free fields in the addresses again. This works in exactly the same way as the previous step, except that "" (double quotation marks) is then entered in the formula editor.
With this workaround, data fields can also be imported into the customer table when importing addresses.
