Restrict user-defined menu items

Moin Moin,

The question arises from time to time as to how the menu items in the main menu (and in the navigation) can be restricted for individual users so that the user can no longer see every module.

The setting for this can be found in the user administration under [Settings > User > Main menu]. On this screen, in the column [Main menu] the display in the main menu can be set for the user selected in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

In the column [Visibility] the visibility of the mask in the left-hand navigation can be switched on or off. If this option appears in gray text, it is a tab on a screen that cannot be switched off individually.
